*Pete's POV*

I sat there in the Best Buy parking lot, a pill bottle in my hand, Atavan to be exact. I knew I was being a little irrational, but this seemed like my only escape. I wanted it all to end, all of my suffering, and everything I put people through. I took a few pills, still contemplating life. Then I took a few more, and some more. Soon the bottle was empty. My vision was getting blurry and my eyelids seemed to get heavier and heavier. I picked up my Sidekick and dialed Patrick's number, barely clinging on to consciousness.

"Hello?" Patrick answered. It was a little comfort to be hearing his voice for the last time.

"Patrick, I did it, I took all the pills. In the Best Buy parking lot in my car. It's almost over..." I said in a hoarse voice.

"No! Pete, don't do this, don't do this! Please!" he begged, but I just smiled grimly to myself, "We need you, the band needs you. Dude! You're one of our best friends, we love you man. Please, don't do anything. Please!"

"It's too late, I already took all the Atavan." my voice was almost a whisper this time, and I felt as if I were getting weaker and weaker.

"No...this is horrible! Pete! Look, stay where you are and try to stay conscious, I'm coming to help you."

My eyelids drooped more and more, "I'm sorry Patrick, I can't do that. Bye now, it's almost over. You don't have to have me to drag you down anymore." I hung up and dropped my Sidekick to my side, letting my eyes close, hopefully to never open again.
